    1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald Yes, there is a film with Leonardo DiCaprio, but that doesn't get you off the hook from reading this perceptive, pitch-perfect novel. Set in the jazzy Roaring Twenties, Fitzgerald's tale of obsession, amb. Never fear though, fate steps in to bring our star crossed lovers back together and the book ends on a satisfying high. Beautiful Stranger. The second in the ‘Beautiful’ series, the novel cleverly plucks one of the lesser characters in ‘Beautiful Bastard’ and places her center stage. Another bright, intelligent woman, Sara Dillon is the.

Fantasy book covers have always been my favorite. Because anything can happen in a fantasy novel, anything can happen on their covers. (It’ll come as no surprise that I also collect fantasy art at home.) I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the fantasy book covers are this year in particular. Many of them are works of art.   She teams up with an outlaw named the Woodpecker (also a redhead), and they have a series of surreal adventures, which include a brush with an alien race that believes all gingers are inherently evil, and that “red hair is caused by sugar and lust.” That should give you some idea of how refreshingly nutballs this book is. 3.

Parents need to know that Beautiful Redemption is the last book in the popular Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl., also known as The Caster 's about Ethan and Lena figuring out a way for Ethan to return from the Otherworld, where the dead reside, which is an alternate version of Gatlin and Wade's Landing, where the characters live. That was a beautiful book. Honestly the first one that inspired me to write a poem for Kate. A bit long for the two weeks I had to read it but it was mesmerizing. 4 more replies. level 1. 66 points 3 years ago. Stoner by John Williams. It's beautifully depressing. level 2.

Beautiful story with even more beautiful illustrations. All three of my kids loved it -- ages 3, 5 and 7. My kids now call any cardinal we see Red and Lulu. I loved that the NY Public Library and Times Square were included. The history lesson in the back is great/5().

This book is about the boy who laughed red all the time and his hands were big and he was beast of red when he out to play with the snow and the mother did not laugh then he was going all the time. I like book because the child wants to wear red clothes.

I give this book 3 stars/5. Beautiful Red book. Read 19 reviews from the world's largest community for readers. [Siren Publishing: The Lynn Hagen ManLove Collection: Erotic Alternat /5. A lovable Parent to Child Story Book I thoroughly enjoyed this cute little book.

Red is the true color of LOVE. Red is the true color of LOVE. The simplicity and choice of words and cute illustrations makes it easy for your child to understand and read themselves/5(5). Cute book about a toddler who loves red.

This is a favorite at our house. Also as others have mentioned the low price reflects the books size (it's 3 inch x 3 inch). In our case this doesn't matter as we pack this in the diaper bag and use it to keep our Reviews: The book is only described as a second edition if significant changes are made to the copy.

In collecting terms, a general definition of 1st edition book would be a work's first commercially available appearance in book form, printed with the original setting of type. The first time a publisher releases a new book, all copies of that book.

“Red", I write "is the color of life. It's blood, passion, rage. It's menstrual flow and after birth. Beginnings and violent end. Red is the color of love. Beating hearts and hungry lips. Roses, Valentines, cherries.

Red is the color of shame. Crimson cheeks and spilled blood. Broken hearts, opened veins. A burning desire to return to white.”. Some families may choose to start with reading only books from the Book List, while others will use it as a jumping off point. E-books are awesome, but nothing beats a beautiful hard copy of your favorite novel. And one thing I love almost as reading an amazing book is.

The future is boring. Technology has solved the world's most pressing problems, leaving people with tedious work and mundane play. Jack is a Security Officer Class 5, which sounds important, but isn't. However, her banal life as a cubicle worker by day and tinkerer by night is interrupted when she discovers that her employer's computer system has been invaded.

Jack enlists the help. RED IS BEST is a Canadian classic, and this 25th-year reissue and board-book edition is proof of its staying power. Here's a simple tale about toddler whims any parent has surely faced -- the insistence on this cup, that pencil, this blanket, that toy.

Read in EPUB, on a Sony PRS The premise of this book was much better than the story that it propped up. The idea – that the Net has become so all-pervasive that it has transformed every aspect of peoples’ lives, that it inspires resistance, and that, ultimately, it becomes self-aware, is hardly new, but in Beautiful Red, the author has put together an interesting scenario that could /5(21).

In the third book in the Beautiful Bastard series, an agreement between a venture capitalist and a bookish woman quickly becomes a very NSFW version of My Fair Lady. A bombshell bookworm. A chronic Casanova. And a lesson in chemistry too scandalous for school. The real Beautiful Joe.

The real Beautiful Joe was an Airedale-type dog. He was medium-sized, brown, and described as likely being part bull terrier and part fox was also described as a mongrel, a cur, and a was originally owned by a local Meaford man, who cruelly abused the dog to the point of near death, and even cut off his ears and tail.

A book is a tactile object and it’s wonderful when a cover can remind you of that. The peeling type on Humiliation makes you want to run your hand over the cover again and again.

The peachy color fading to red hints at a blush of embarrassment or the sting of a slap which ties in perfectly with the title. –Colleen Reinhart. The Red Book was a documentation of Jung’s own journey into himself, and offers us a look at the rich inner world he often consulted with.
